We have constructed a multi-purpose ground in the heart of the city that features 7A size football ground, Basketball Court, Jogging lane, children play area, resting shades among other features that makes it a state of art multi-purpose ground in the Kathmandu which is accessible to all the people across the country for free. 
To build this iconic ground, we have collaborated with the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Lainchaur ward 23 and local stakeholder organisations.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

We collaborated with the National Sports Council of Nepal, the official government agency for sports to support the government wing for the renovation of the National Table Tennis Hall located in Lainchowr, Kathmandu. The 19th edition of the South Asian Games was hosted in Nepal from December 1-10 and our extended support to the government for renovation of the National Table Tennis Hall supported the government for smooth hosting of table tennis match during the 19th SAG.

Ncell has become the FIRST and ONLY Nepali company to be officially enlisted as a Data Centre and Cloud Service Provider in Nepal. The Department of Information Technology (DoIT), under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MoCIT), enrolled Ncell on Sunday for both services.

The company was enlisted under the legal provisions outlined in the Data Centre and Cloud Services (Operation and Management) Directives 2025. This follows a thorough inspection of Ncell&rsquo;s infrastructure and a detailed review of its application and submitted documents, which confirmed that the company fully meets the required operational standards and security protocols to provide these services.

The directive mandates that all existing data centre and cloud service providers must enroll with the DoIT within six months of the directive&rsquo;s issuance. Ncell successfully completed the enrolment process well ahead of the deadline.

The directive came into effect on January 28, 2025, following a minister-level decision of the Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung. It lays the foundation for the legal regulation of data centres and cloud services in Nepal.

In accordance with the directive, companies must obtain separate certifications for operating data centres and offering cloud services. Ncell has secured both certifications, making it FIRST and ONLY officially authorised to operate in full compliance with the new legal framework.

Ncell currently operates a high-tech Tier III Integrated Data Centre (IDC) in Nakkhu, Lalitpur, which can serve banks, government agencies, and large enterprises. It also runs two disaster recovery data centres located in Pokhara and Hetauda.

The formal enlistment of data centre and cloud service providers is expected to enhance regulation, transparency, and cybersecurity across the sector.

As part of this initiative, Ncell&rsquo;s CEO and MD Jabbor Kayumov, Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) Secretary Paras Khadka, Chairman of Lumbini Lions Ishwar GC, Ncell&rsquo;s Interim Director for Marketing, Communications, and Sustainability Bishakha Lakshmi Khadka, along with other Ncell officials, distributed educational kits to 260 primary level students from two schools in Kapilvastu&mdash;Shree Rastriya Madhyamik Bidhyalaya and Madarsa Bahrul Uloom of Kapilvastu Municipality, Ward 10. Similarly, on the same day, Ncell&rsquo;s Chief of Staff Stephen Rodriguez along with other Ncell officials distributed 186 educational kits to students from Shree Balakshanti Bidhyalaya of Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality, Ward-4, Banke.

 
&ldquo;In line with our commitment, we are happy to support primary-level students with essential learning materials through Ncell Foundation. Each kit provided to students on Tuesday included essential items such as school bags, notebooks, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, and more.

I am very happy to be part of this educational kit distribution programme in Kapilvastu, spending time with the kids and sharing happiness,&rdquo; said Paras Khadka, Secretary of CAN.

 
Under this initiative, Ncell Foundation will distribute a total of 2,612 educational kits nationwide for the 653 boundaries hit during the NPL. The two schools in Kapilvastu had approached Ncell Foundation after learning about the &lsquo;4 for 4s&rsquo; initiative from the Ncell Foundation Facebook page and Shree Balakshanti Bidhyalaya had approached for the support via Ncell&rsquo;s regional office.

Ncell Foundation begins implementing its ‘4 for 4s’ pledge made during the Nepal Premier League (NPL)

Nepal Sports and Events Management (NSEM) has announced the onboarding of Ncell Axiata Limited as the title sponsor of the Nepal Super League (NSL), the first professional franchise-based football league in Nepal.&nbsp;
