Ncell Foundation, in collaboration with Project Shikshya, is committed to empowering students across Nepal through the Ncell SEE Scholarships initiative. This program aims to support deserving SEE graduates in pursuing their +2 education by providing financial assistance and equitable access to academic opportunities.

Under this initiative, 100 SEE graduates from across the country will be awarded scholarships for their higher secondary education. The selection process will include a written entrance examination conducted across all seven provinces, followed by structured interviews to ensure a fair, transparent, and inclusive evaluation process.

Additional Benefit:
Selected students will also receive 12 months of complimentary communication services, including unlimited data and voice services, enabling them to stay connected to learning resources, educational opportunities, and their aspirations.

Objectives of the Scholarship Program

  • Encourage academic excellence among SEE graduates
  • Reduce financial barriers to higher education
  • Promote inclusive access to educational opportunities
  • Support and nurture future youth leaders and changemakers in Nepal

Examination Modality

  • The entrance examination will comprise three core subjects:
    • Mathematics
    • Science
    • English
  • The written assessment will serve as the first stage of the selection process and is designed to evaluate the academic aptitude and foundational knowledge of all applicants applying under Project Shikshya.
  • The examination will follow a standardized format to ensure fairness, consistency, and uniform evaluation across all participating candidates.

Examination Committee

  • The Examination Committee will include representatives from the 100 Group and participating colleges.
  • The committee will be responsible for:
    • Designing the entrance examination
    • Administering the assessment process
    • Evaluating examination results
  • The committee shall ensure the integrity, transparency, and impartiality of the examination process.
  • The committee shall serve as the authoritative body for all matters related to the conduct of the assessment.

Selection Criteria

Stage 1 – Entrance Examination

  • All applicants must appear in and qualify for the entrance examination.
  • Performance in the examination will serve as the primary academic benchmark for shortlisting candidates.

Stage 2 – Interview

  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear before an interview panel.
  • Final selection will be determined based on a combination of entrance examination performance and interview outcomes.
  • Priority in selection shall be accorded to students from Government schools and financially underserved communities.

Interview Criteria

  • Academic Performance: Results and scores achieved in the entrance examination.
  • Family Background: Socioeconomic circumstances and financial need of the candidate’s household.
  • Academic Background: Prior educational history, consistency of performance, and institutional background.
  • Motivation to Study: The candidate’s demonstrated commitment, purpose, and aspirations with respect to higher education.
  • Personal and Societal Impact: The candidate’s potential to create meaningful and positive impact in both personal life and the broader community upon completion of their studies.
