Cyber security tactics you need to adopt

Adopt safe online browsing practices that protect your personal information and online activity from cyber criminals.

  1. Be cautious of popup ads
  2. Passwords
    1. Have a different, unique password for every account
    2. Keep passwords tough enough to guess
    3. Change your passwords often
    4. Never tape your passwords onto your laptop
  3. Do not click on any links that arrive in an unsolicited email, no matter what
  4. Keep your Business accounts separate from Personal accounts
  5. Keep all pertinent security software up to date
  6. Take regular backup of your critical data using different tools available in the market
  7. Never use duplicate or cracked software in your laptop
  8. Avoid public Wi-Fi
  9. Avoid unsecure websites
  10. Delete Browsing History
  11. Block and Delete Cookies
  12. Disable Auto-fill and Save Password features
  13. Keep Browser Up-to-date
  14. Do not share your OTP with anyone

DOs Don’ts
Destroy information properly when it is no longer needed. Be tricked into giving away confidential information to unauthorized personnel.
Be aware of your surroundings when printing, copying, or discussing sensitive information. Leave up information on printers, copiers, unattended.
Lock your computer and mobile when not in use. This protects data from unauthorized access and use. Leave your device unlocked when you are not using it, or you are Infront of it.
Pay attention to phishing traps in email and watch for telltale signs of a scam. Click on links from an unknown or untrusted source as it might contain malware/viruses.
Use hard-to-guess passwords or passphrases and change it on periodic basis. Don’t share password, OTP with anybody.
Limit sharing your personal data in social media. Share others personal data without their consent.
