Ncell Foundation has announced the distribution of a total of 2,428 educational kits to students studying in government and community-run schools across Nepal, in line with its commitment made during the Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 2.

Continuing its 4s for 4 social initiative, Ncell had pledged to provide four educational kits for every four (4s) hit during season 2. Launched last year, the initiative connects the excitement of cricket with classrooms, turning boundaries on the field into brighter futures for students. It reflects Ncell Foundation&rsquo;s continued commitment to translating sporting enthusiasm into meaningful educational support for underserved communities.

During NPL Season 2, a total of 607 boundaries were hit by 99 players, ensuring distribution of 2,428 educational kits. Adam Rossington of Pokhara Avengers contributed the highest 31 fours, which ensured 124 kits for the students. With 26 boundaries, D&#39;Arcy Short of Lumbini Lions secured 104 kits, placing second, while Binod Bhandari of Sudurpaschim Royals contributed 92 kits through 23 boundaries.

The educational kit distribution aims to support students by helping address shortages of essential learning resources. Each kit will include items such as a school bag, notebooks, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, and other basic stationery required for daily learning.

In total, more than 9,000 educational kits were distributed nationwide, including those pledged under the 4s for 4 initiative, empowering thousands of students with essential learning materials.

The distribution of the educational kits will be carried out in coordination with the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), local authorities, and implementing partner Karmayog Foundation, ensuring that the support reaches its intended beneficiaries. NTA has approved this range for Ncell as the mobile numbers under the previously issued ranges&mdash;980, 981, 982, and 970&mdash;were insufficient to continue issuing new SIM cards to customers.

As of Thursday, a total of 510 boundaries were contributed by 90 players in the ongoing NPL Season 2, Powered by Ncell which have ensured distribution of 2040 kits. On the top three scorers&rsquo; list of fours, Pokhara Avengers&rsquo; Adam Rossington hit the highest number of boundaries (27), ensuring the distribution of 108 educational kits. D&rsquo;Arcy Short of the Lumbini Lions secured the second-highest position with 19 boundaries, contributing 76 kits. He is followed by Kathmandu Gorkhas&rsquo; Ben Charlesworth and Binod Bhandari of the Sudurpaschim Royals, whose 17 boundaries each ensured the distribution of 68 kits.

In a significant step toward expanding and improving its 4G footprint, Ncell has brought 20 new towers into operation across various locations within the past 10 days, enabling customers in these areas to enjoy enhanced voice quality and high-speed data services.&nbsp;

As part of its ongoing initiative to extend services and improve network quality, Ncell has added new towers across several local levels, primarily in Madhesh Province, along with Bagmati and Koshi Provinces.&nbsp;

Following the resumption of facilitation from the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA), the company accelerated its tower installation efforts even during the festive season, successfully activating 20 new sites in record time. The addition of these towers ensures better network access and faster 4G connectivity for customers in the respective regions.

Similarly, six towers have been installed and brought into operation in Koshi Province&rsquo;s Inaruwa, Barju, Harinagar and Gadhi (Sunsari), and Babiyabirta and Majhare (Morang). One tower was installed and brought into operation in Hetauda (Makawanpur) of Bagmati Province.

Ncell has successfully brought 20 new towers in less than 10 days ensuring wider access to modern mobile broadband and quality voice services. Even during the period when the import of new equipment was restricted, Ncell continued expanding and improving its services by installing and operating more than 40 new towers across different parts of the country using existing and spare equipment. 
Under its ongoing 4G expansion and enhancement plan, Ncell aims to install over 170 additional new towers across all provinces within the next two months. This continued rollout will further strengthen network access and enhance Quality of Service (QoS) for customers nationwide.&nbsp;
