1. Why have I received SMS from Ncell for KYC?
As per the guidelines of the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA), customer KYC information needs to be updated and maintained in Ncell’s system. Therefore, you have received this SMS requesting you to update your KYC information.

2. What is the process to update KYC?
First, complete self-verification by dialing *9966# from your Ncell SIM. After successful verification, visit your nearest Ncell Center with your SIM card and a valid original identification document [NID or Citizenship] to complete the KYC update process.

3. What are the verification criteria?
● The customer must physically visit the Ncell Center with the SIM card and a valid original identification document as mentioned above.
● The Ncell Center representative will verify the customer and required documents.
● Once verification is completed, the customer will be requested to fill out the required subscription/KYC form as per Ncell Center procedures.

4. My SIM is not registered in my name. What is the re-verification process?
a. In case the name is registered in family or friends’ name:
Both the registered owner and the current user must visit the nearest Ncell Center in person with:
● The physical SIM card
● Passport-size photo of the new customer
● Original National ID or Citizenship Certificate of the new customer
● Original identification document of the registered owner
● Any other documents required by the Ncell Center to complete the transfer/re-verification process (if needed).

b. In case the family member is out of country:
Visit nearest Ncell center with the documents below and complete necessary process:
● Passport and visa of the customer registered under along with consent form to do the TOO.
● Physical active SIM, PP size photo along with original National id /Citizenship.

c. If the registered SIM owner has passed away:
Visit nearest Ncell center with the documentation below:
● Death certificate of the SIM owner
● Nata pramanit patra (Family relationship certificate)
● Ward recommendation letter mentioning SIM to be transferred.
● 15 call details dialed & received done from the number.
● Physical active SIM, PP size photo along with original National id /Citizenship.

d. In case the SIM user does not know the registered SIM Owner:
Visit nearest Ncell Center with:
● An application or verification document provided by the bank confirming that the number is linked to your bank account. Or a recommendation letter from ward office stating the number should be transferred to the user’s name.
● Submit a self-declaration form stating the reason for registering the SIM card in your name.
● 15 call details dialed & received done from the number.
● Physical active SIM, PP size photo along with original National id /Citizenship.

5. I have already submitted the forms and documents while issuing the SIM. Why do I need to update them again?
As per the latest guidelines from NTA, we are required to ensure that customer information is updated and maintained in our system. Therefore, we kindly request you to update your information again. This will help us keep your records accurate and ensure uninterrupted and smooth services.
