No . Any new or old android phone is eligible for the handset insurance.

6. Can I buy multiple packs at once ?
No. You can buy 1 pack any given month.

7. Will the pack be renewed every month ?
No , the pack is valid for 1 month from the date of purchase and won’t be renewed after expiry. 

8. How do I enroll for the insurance policy ?
Once you purchase the Ncell Data Phone Pack, you will receive SMS from HEI.
Step 1: Test Your Phone Screen
      •    Click on the link provided in the SMS to access the phone screen testing app.
      •    Run the phone screen test using the app. This step is crucial to verify that your phone screen is in perfect working condition at the time of enrollment.
Step 2: Receive Test Pass Confirmation
      •    After completing the screen test, you will receive a test pass notification via SMS from HEI or click this link (Test app link).
This confirmation indicates that your phone screen has passed the test, and the phone is insured. 

9. What happens if I do not install and run the Diagnostic App ?
The insurance will be valid only after the customer runs the diagnostic App which certifies that the phone touch is not already damaged. In this case, HEI will be unable to pay the claim.

10. What is covered under the policy?
Damage to the touch mechanism of a smartphone is covered under the insurance. If the touch is damaged or stops working, the customer can get the screen folder changed and HEI will pay the sum assured or bill value, whichever is lower

11. How long is the policy waiting period for the same?
No waiting period. The phone is insured as soon as the customer follows all instructions given in the welcome SMS. 

12. Which phones are eligible for the claim procedure?
All android smartphones less than 4 years old.

13. What to do when I need to claim?
In case your touch screen is damage, call HEI claim, lodge claim and then
      •    Repair Invoice: Provide an invoice from the repair center with a valid VAT or PAN number.
      •    Personal Information: Provide your citizenship number, address, email, etc.
      •    Banking Details: Provide your bank account information for claim processing.
      •    You will need to submit digital copies of all relevant documents, including a signed claim form by the claimant.
      •    These documents can be sent to HEI via email, Viber, or WhatsApp.

Once your claim is registered, you will receive a reference number, which will also be sent to you via SMS.
 
After the claim is processed, you will receive a call from Himalayan Everest Insurance with the decision and instructions on how to receive the claim amount. You MAY be required to run the screen diagnostic application to verify the change of the screen folder.

14. What documents I have to submit for claim process?
      - Inform and register your claim by calling HEI call center within 7 days @ 9801575858 (Toll Free) or 9801969214/9801969215/9801969216
      -Provide a copy of the bill that the service center has issued to change the screen folder. This bill needs to mention the IMEI number of the device

15. Where do I have to submit claim documents?
      •    Call in HGI Call Center and submit your documents digitally, OR
      •    Submit to the nearest HEI branch.

16. Is there any time limit to submit the claim documents?
Yes, within 10 days of getting the phone screen changed.

17. Do I need to submit all the original documents for claim process?
No, you digital submit your hospital discharge summary, discharge invoice and personal ID document.

18. When will my claim be settled?
Within 14 days after the complete claim documents are received by HGI call center.

19. How will I get the claim amount?
You can get it through cheque or transfer to your bank account.

20. My expense is too high but why I get very less reimbursement amount?
This is limited cover policy which is Rs 10,000 per touch screen  replacement or the bill amount for screen folder replacement, whichever is lower

21. Can I have the details of reimbursement amount?
Yes, the details of the reimbursement amount will be shared to the claimant.

22. Why my claim was rejected?
Normally the claim gets rejected when the incident is excluded in policy terms and condition. However, for specific reasons, please call HGI call center and quote the claims reference number you got through the SMS and they will help you.
